I also returned one recently. The trouble with the lens and some image transfer issues showed that it just wasn't ready for market. When I spoke to Nikon, they tech said "they shouldn't have released it yet".

FWIW, I just returned a Nikon 5K due to a problem with its' inability
to disable the internal flash when a radio transmitter is attached to
the hot shoe. The instruction booklet as well as Nikon tech support
state that the internal flash is automatically disengaged when a
flash accessory is attached to the hot shoe. This is not the case
with the unit I purchased, nor could I get this feature to work on
two other units I tried.Photographers who need to fire studio and
  location strobes BEWARE.
Nikon tech told me they did not know IF or WHEN a firmware update
would be created. But they did admit I was not the first to complain
  about this deficiency.
