I have made Black Only (BO) prints on my 1200 with the
MIS Eboni (matte black MK) ink in the black cart.
I've been pleased with the results on a matte paper
(Nature Jet) at 12" X 17.25" on 13" X 19" paper. I've
been pleased with the results, though I recently
noticed some microbanding when the prints are examined
extremely close up. It's not visable at normal
viewing distances. MIS has a gloss version of the
Eboni (a Photo Black PK). For 8" X 10" range prints a
C8X (I have a C84) or R200 series printer and the MIS
EZ B&W inks are great. Google search on Clayton Jones
and Paul Roarke. They both provide a wealth of
invaluable information on their web sites and they
regularly contribute to this forum.
