UT-3D, 2400, rips

UT-3D, 2400, rips

2006-05-17 by Paul Roark

I've been testing the UT-3D on the 2400. My impression is that it will
benefit from a rip.

Do any of the affordable ones give full 8 ink control?

With respect to QTR and IJC, can either control all the colors even if not
the LLK or LK?

Thanks,

Paul

I doubt any of the RIPs for the 2400 support anything that is really
"outside the box". The few RIP's that are out that is. For the bigger
printers, some will allow this now, and the Evolution RIP is actually
overdue for this, it's supposed to be updated for full color to all
gray with version 4. I think it's time to send another email to them
to find out when it will be available (I kind of need it now).

From what I have read (not used) both should be able to control all 8
heads.
