qtr and Printfix Pro

2006-05-21 by Jason

Sorry if I've missed something obvious, but how do I get values read from my Printfix Pro into
qtr-create-icc? Do I need to type the Lab values into a file? If so, can someone point me to
the documentation for the file format?

Thanks,
Jason Nichols

I'm using PFP v. 1.1b7. In Tools>Measure>Export you name the file and start
reading. It's like a recorder. Hit Done when done, and the Lab readings
are in a text file in the PFP export folder. I put these into a Notepad
file on the Desktop, and just drag and drop it into the Create ICC icon.

You might have to to place an L, A, and B over each column...but maybe Roy updated the
script since Paul can drag and drop the file.

Here's what file's look like...hope the format holds:

L A B
94.33 0.70 -2.93
90.50 0.82 -2.64
86.33 0.87 -2.32
82.04 0.83 -2.00
...

Thanks. That was exactly the problem I was having.

To clarify my post, I'm using ColorVision's Print Fix Pro spectro with it's
software release 1.1b7 to make the text Lab files for the Create ICC-RGB
ICCs I'm making. Since it is not utilizing the Lab a* and b* information, I
don't need to even label the columns.
