A friend needs an economic precut matte/frame solution. What he's found so far doesn't comply well with his 24x36 image porportions. Can anyone recommend any on line vendors, particularly suited to photo sizes? Thanks, Tyler

Try Frame Destination. They are wonderful. (Mark and Joley) I have standardized my matting and framing on their products. I especially like the value in their 8ply alpha mats. It makes a very classy presentation. They offer many sizes standard for the digital aspect ratio. www.framedestination.com <http://www.framedestination.com/> No connection, just a very happy customer. Best, Phil

Another vote for www.framedestination.com. They have precut mat/frames for 24x36 in metal and wood, 4 ply or 8 ply. Turnaround time is good also. All archival materials. I like working with real people. On one occasion, Mark called me at home in the evening because he was working on my mats and wanted clarification on the dimensions and placement of the opening. Tyler, I've been using American Frame. The service has been 2-3 days for a custom metal frame. And the mats are free. An easy to use website that walks you through the process. You can install your art in the frame online to view it in your room by changing the color of the walls. http://www.americanframe.com/ Ed --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, Carl Schofield <scho@...> wrote:

I use matcutter.com for mats, they wholesale in minimum quantities of 25 same size and opening. There is no charge to set up custom sizes for mats and openings. Dick Blick has great prices on their Gallery Metal frames which are made by Nielson and come complete with plexiglass. cort
