Introducing me. Also, a question about using long paper on R220.

Hello All, my name is paul mueller. I live in oakland california. I'm a very dedicated photographer (call it documentary, call it fine art, call it whatever you like) and teach photography at a college in fremont california. I'm getting set up to make bw and color prints at home. this yahoo group has already been very helpful. I've also learned a bunch from the articles posted by Clayton Jones (if you're reading this Mr. Jones- thank you for your clear and precise writing. usually I have difficulty following tech stuff, but not in your case). I did some tests using the MIS R2-N inks and was very pleased with the results. however, I though the print was too cool. this was a few days ago, and then EUREKA!, Clayton Jones posts an article addressing the exact issue. I can't wait to have another go with the warmer inks in the magenta positions. I'll post my results for anyone interested. okay, now for my question. I want to feed paper into the R220 longer than 11". basically I want to print on paper that is 8.5" wide by 30" or so. I tested the Premier ArtHouse Press 2-sided paper and want to use it (or something similar) for printing 2-sided hand-bound book pages. someone mentioned to me that this is possible if I get some free or shareware application for my mac. I was told the term for what I want is "banner printing". after searching without success online (Macupdate and other sites) I decided to post here. I'd appreciate any response. again, I'm grateful for the existence of this group. I hope to make worthwhile contributions once I know what I'm talking about. best, paul mueller
