Lexjet spammed me a while back. The only way they would have gotten my
email address was from a web search. I was slightly terse in the reply
that I sent.

Give them a little more time, they'll find your phone number too. They must use these lists
for marketing. They've been calling me for at least a few years now, each time I suggest
I'm squared away and don't need anything from them, nor will I, they get all huffy and
apologize for "offending" me.
They'll call again anyway, I'm sure. They'll have some new paper that will change my life
and business, one I already tested and set aside 18 months ago...Tyler

Which is one of the reasons my domain has a private registration, that
really has cut down on the mail spam. Seems everyone wans to give you
some sort of business credit card... I wish you could tape the postage
paid envelope to a brick and return it on their nickel!

My experience with them has been better than that. I bought my 7600 +
Imageprint from Alex a number of years ago, and he's always been real
reasonable, better than another outfit who was REALLY miffed at me.
This lady demanded to know why I hadn't bought my printer from HER.

I don't think they'll be calling me again. I was quite to the point with
them. There are good suppliers that do indeed look to these lists for
potential customers, but I don't consider Lexjet to be among them. It is
quite obvious that this group is full of particular attitudes and those are
not primarily out of the box, put it in and run type attitudes. They appear
to be geared towards high volume PK glossy studios. I found their staff, to
be quite frank here, about as rude as they come. I have no intention of
spend one red cent with them.

Just harvesting from these lists is one thing ... and I eschew
vendors who do that.

But there are some vendors on this and other lists as real
participants in the community, with good information and helpful
advice. Their commercial interest is clear but subtle. I welcome them.

Harvesting from the list is one thing, but in my case, I do not use the
same email for the lists as I do for the web site. So I know that they
went out on a google or other search to find places that they did not
have in their current database. Then they sent messages to them. I
guess that's their right to do so, and really is a sales person's job
(to actively find new customers). And so far they have not sent me any
other messages, which was one of my requests.
