Help finding NK curves for 1800 on O.S. X
2006-07-07 by siobhan mcclory
Hi,
Having used Piezo for many years I am in the process of retiring some
printers and thought I would also start looking at other inksets. I just
purchased the NK inks and QTR for an 1800 but have been unable to find the
NK curves referred to in the literature from inkjet mall which supposedly
could be included with the QTR download and if not, be downloaded
separately. I have not been able to find a link to it anywhere and would
greatly appreciate any suggestions from anyone. The below are the
instructions from Inkjetmall. I also checked the main site (I think) for
QTR and was unable to find them there either.
Thanks. Siobhan
4. INSTALLING QTR ON MAC OS X SYSTEM
The Mac QTR appears as a printer driver that can be accessed within other
applications, such as Photoshop.
1 Download the newest version of QTR and curves from
http://www.quadtonerip.com/html/QTRpiezobw.html. Depending on the version
of QTR, the newest version may be on a "beta² website, accessed from the
above link. The Inkjetmall-supplied paper curves might be a separate
download (as of this writing, they are separate downloads)
2 After downloading, click on the file to begin the installation
process. The first window that pops up is the main QTR window. Click on
"Install-QTR² package, and follow the prompts to install the software
(window shown below).
3 Install the curves. If the curves arrived as a separate zipped
file, unzip them. Place the "NK7² curves into the following folder:
CurveDesign/CurveDropBox/QuadXXXX, where "XXXX² corresponds to your printer
model. Next, click on "run-install-curves² found in CurveDesign to complete
the process.
