Disabling histogram cache in CS2

Disabling histogram cache in CS2

2006-07-26 by mccarvill

Just installed CS2 for XP and can't seem to find the menu option to
force CS2 to ALWAYS calculate a fresh histogram not use cached info. I
don't want to click on that little exclamation mark thingy over and
over again.

Can someone enlighten me?

Thanks!

Click the little arrow on the right and select “uncached refresh”

Exactly, Mark.

In Photoshop 7 there's an option in <Preferences> to force a fresh
histogram calculation every time. I'm looking for something like this.

I think they removed the option, or hid it very well. Help was no help.

Doh!, right. You have to set the cache levels to 1, in
preferences/memory-and-image-cache.
