Digital BW, The Print

I use a 2200 with quadtone rip and UC inks
with favorable results.
However, I like toning my images in Photoshop to get
them 'exactly' how I like them. This means leaving
them in RGB.  
What's the best way to print this RGB file for the 2200?
Beyond that, what's the best printer/ink/paper combination to print a 
toned B&W image in RGB?
I realize this is subjective, but I'd like to hear others' opinions 
and why they like a particular combination.

I have been doing a bunch of "hand colored" images with PS for a client.
These are B&W, with either a neutral background or an over all sepia look.
Then individual components are colored selectively with the selective color
tool. Each item is saved asa a selection so that I can go back and recolor
or apply some other correction to it. The down side is that Qimage and IP
don't like channels to print so you need to remember to save without any for
printing unless you are printing through PS directly. Original files are
mostly digital capture with a Canon camera. 

 

I use a 4800 and Qimage for most of that type printing. I let my license to
upgrade to IP 6.1 go for now until I also buy a 7800 as my IP is for a 7XXX
printer.
