Paul (or anyone else),

I've noticed that some of your ICC profiles for the r220 have a "CC-0" at the end of their 
names, and some don't.  What setting in the driver does it refer to?

The "CC-0" means the ICC was made for the driver set to "Color Controls"
with them being set to 0.  It allows you to use both the sliders and the
ICC.

Thanks again for your quick replies, Paul.

Does this mean the driver should be set to "Off (No color adjustment)l" with the ICC profiles 
that don't specify "CC-0"?  Is there any difference between "Color Controls" + all the sliders 
set at "0" and "Off (No color adjustment)"?

If the ICC name says, "CC=0", don't use "No Color Adjustment."  For the C88
I'm working with now I'm making some ICCs for one setting and some for the
other.  Where a system will work either way the ICCs will have "CC" or "NCA"
in the name.  NCA prints darker, so the ICC must be used with settings that
are specified.

 

(I have not been able to tell yet if there are significant quality
differences.  The practical issues are more user control with Color Controls
v. fewer setting errors with NCA, and NCA is cross-platform.)
