Off topic: Posture and hand positions -- Ouch!

Not about digital printing, per se, but something that should concern us all. Perhaps replies should come to me, off list - - - After three weeks of intense work at a dance festival (shooting perhaps 12 hours/day solid), pain that I thought was just tired muscles turned into much more severe muscle tightness in my shoulder, forearm, and trunk ... with pain to match. In working with an excellent physical therapist, looking at myself in a mirror as I hold my D200 in position for vertical shots, I can see that my whole body can be twisted. Holding my right hand on the shutter in that position is tricky in any case, and having a right forearm that doesn't fully supinate makes it even more complex. * Have others on this list had similar experiences, perhaps with enlightening stories to tell? * Any good references with pictures of helpful commentary about most health enhancing ways to hold a camera? (This sounds like photo 101, I know.) * Do I really need a MB-D200 Multi-Power Battery Pack (or equivalent)? I hope not. It would be nice to have the vertical button on the side, but I don't want all the extra weight and bulk. I thought only dancers hurt themselves at such a festival. What a lesson I learned!
