Hmmm,

But you could sell the print for $25,000, right?

But, for the right price (high) one could make the trays. And, contact print frames. And lights (ok, the sun).

Back in my black and white darkroom days, we made the overly large prints by making a trough and using plastic in the trough. See-sawing the prints. But, never made this big..lol

Right, who cares about the trays. You can make em easily with plastic
sheeting and some boards. But the platinum. Wo. That's gonna cost ya.
Better have a dynamite negative.

And don't forget that 'tray' processing a print that sizx will require two people. So, at $50/hr per, that's......

RE: [Digital BW] Big OHP

2006-10-13 by Eric Neilsen

Platinum is not like silver that allows for rough handling. I have seen a
few large contact frames, but not that large. I have made them as big as
30x40 with conventional methods and still can now with digital.

It will be harder to find paper that big that doesn't need to be reworked to
get a good coating. I did make a few with the Photo Rag 308 that were OK, so
may be that might work. Trying to get an even coat on something that big
would suck up the R&D budget for sure.

And add the floor space to that; An empty warehouse with space to splash
would be nice.
