Digital BW, The Print

HI Folks,

I'm still trying to a good set of curves to print a "Lenwork" like
tone onto Costco Glossy using a 2200 & UT-3D.  I've read Paul's
tutorials on the UT-3D inkset but I still can't figure out how to
change the L* value without changing the A or B values.

For example - the lightest patch (L*=87 in PS CS7) will print L*=83.8,
A=0.5 and B=-1.4.  How do I lighten it without changing the A&B values?

I understand that moving the Red curve down increases the B value and
by moving the green curve down will decrease the B value.  So will
moving the red and green up together lighten the L* value?

I'm assuming that moving the Blue curve down increases the A value.
