I was curious why all the papers for the 3800 appear to have some permanence
(though 'preliminary") postings but the 2400 does not--both using K3 inks on
the same paper--and the 3800 being much newer.

Wilhelm rates 2400/ABW matte prints from 110 to >200 years depending
on paper and display method - see page 3 at this link

Color prints get lower ratings, but ABW is quite good.
