Photoshop CS3 public beta

Photoshop CS3 public beta

2006-12-14 by Amadou Diallo

It's now official. Staring tomorrow a public beta of CS3 will be available for registered users of
CS2, on both Mac and Windows platforms. Press release is available at http://
www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/pressroom/pressreleases/200612/121406Photoshop.html and
the download should be up on the Adobe Labs site tomorrow.

In the meantime I've set up a temprary blog to talk about the new features. It's at http://
diallophotography.com/blog. I have uploaded a short QuickTime movie with an overview of
some basic UI enhancements in CS3. The movie link is in the post on the blog. Anyway, let
me know if you find it useful and I'll work up some more movies covering other topics. There
is a lot to like from a black and white standpoint, and ACR has not become the neglected
orphan some (like me) feared with all the Lightroom development.

Bruce Frasers Illness

I don't know if there has been mention of this on here?

Thank you for posting this. I had no idea. Bruce is by far, in my
opinion, the most informative and easy to read Photoshop and Color
management guy I've ever come across. Most peoples tutorial books give
me a headache, not his. His book Real World Camera Raw is so clearly
written and infomative that I taught a whole class around just it. For
me he was the only Photoshop guru that is not only a great tech
teacher, but a highly talented and entertaining author as well. He is
one of a kind.

John

Damn.

This news truly sucks.
