innova fibagloss pearl???

innova fibagloss pearl???

2006-12-25 by benong@bigpond.net.au

Hello. Merry x-mas!

Has anybody tried the new innova fibagloss with the pearl surface yet, using K3 inks???

Just wondering. The gloss version is awesome, very photographic. It would be cool to have a less glossy version; which is what the pearl is i guess! :)

Do you guys know if it's a smooth pearl or has the same "stipple" texture as the gloss version?

thankx!

I have a few sample sheets of the satin, now being sold as semi-matte.
I haven't seen a pearl version so I am not sure if it is the same, or
a new paper.

I have only done one color print on the satin and was not crazy about
the results. I prefer the F-Gloss.

Where did you see the Pearl name for it being used? I wonder if that's
a different paper than the satin / semi-matte?

I love the Innova F "gloss" paper. There is a sheen to the surface but I
really
wouldn't even describe it as glossy.

I have two shows up right now printed on this paper. The prints blow away
anything I've done on matte paper in terms of sharpness and depth.

The pearl may be worth a try but it's hard for me to imagine how it's going
to
be an improvement.

Dave.
