The 220 is a great printer and a great way to get started, but it
comes with dye inks so you'll need to put some pigment BW inks in it.
Please see article #10 at the link below. It outlines how to use the
MIS R2 inks in the 220 in a way that will give you a limited range
variable tone inkset that can be controlled with the standard driver.
It's a high quality dedicated BW ink set and will get you up and
running very quickly, and is easy to use.
Also, better go get that 220 because they're getting hard to find.
