But many people who don't use High Speed (bidirectional) printing also find 
head alignment often cures microbanding. I don't know why but it does!

That's very good to know, Bob, because it looks like all my other
issues were resolved in this thread. I'll try head alignment as soon
as I get more color carts... as you know, even though BO only uses the
black cartridge, the others have to have ink in them for the printer
to function and mine are almost bone empty. So it'll be a while since
I'm ordering them from MIS on-line.
