Epson 2400 Feed Problems

Epson 2400 Feed Problems

2007-02-09 by Carl Schofield

I've been using quite a lot of Hahnemuhle PR and White velvet
recently and I've run into problems getting the 2400 to feed these
papers. Two things that might be involved are the bone dry cold air
here and accumulation of paper coating on the printer rollers. I was
using the sheet feeder, but that is now impossible and I have to use
front loading instead. Any suggestions for cleaning the rollers in a
2400?

Carl,

I have been able to clean the rollers on my 2200 over the years a
number of times by feeding a piece of matt paper with one end dampened
with windex with ammonia or isopropyl alcohol and feed it through the
printer a number of times alternating sides up. This usually lasts for
a number of boxes of paper and requires repeating from time to time.

Thanks for the tip Paul. I'll give it a try with the 2400.
