New Dithering Pattern from Canon iPF5000 Firmware Upgrade

Just an item of information for the group that has been following the Canon iPF5000. Canon released a new firmware upgrade 1.23 at the end of January. The firmware has improved the dithering/screening of the dot pattern. It is now "tighter" and cleaner. My comparisons between the Epson Pro 3800 at 1440 "superfine" and the Canon iPF5000 using the 16 pass mode show the dot patterns to be nearly identical. This definitely was not the case prior to the firmware update. Tony Bonanno
