Moab Paper has merged with Legion Paper. Distribution will inevitably be
somewhat different. Moab will be in charge of all the digital media for Legion, so
that will include previous Legion digital products such as the Somerset line.
The new Moab line of digital media should be announced soon, so you will be
able to see what new and interesting stuff they have to offer.

I suspect C. David has more current info than I've got--but just to add:
I spoke with Moab/Legion at PMA and they ASSURED me that Entrada would
remain in their lineup and that large sheets (36 x 48) would also be
available.

Don't know how much value I'd put in this information but the rep
explained the holdup was because of re-packaging with the new company name.

I'm hoping he's correct.

Yes. I shared a booth with Moab at WPPI a couple of weeks after PMA. Lots
of exciting news, but its their news, not mine, so I'll have to let them
announce it when appropriate...

Absolutely; Entrada will remain in the line.

Yes, thats correct. Its a far bigger tactical issue than it sounds: not just
new packaging, but new SKUs, new sizes, new products, new locations to ship
from, all sorts of stuff...

Thanks for the info on Moab. Hope it is a good move for them, and
results in higher quality, competitively priced papers for us.

This, from Inkjetgoodies website, relates:

"Please be aware that all items on inkjetgoodies.com are also on
inkjetart.com at the same prices - in the coming months we will be
combining inkjetgoodies.com into inkjetart.com."

Inkjetgoodies and Moab both have/had the same ownership, and as you
know, Moab, Inkjetgoodies, and Inkjetart are all in Utah. A happy
situation.

I've had incredibly good service from inkjetart.com, prices are right,
and they communicate exceptionally well. Amusingly, their Moab
inventory has sometimes been better than Moab's.

IJA bought them a while ago. The Inkjet Goodies resource library
showed up on the IJA forums the end of July of 2006. Chris has said
nothing about a Moab connection other than it is a popular set of
papers, so they cary them. If the papers were less popular, they would
not carry them. I'm pretty sure that IJA has carried Moab papers from
the first day they were able to get them.

InJetGoodies was the startup company from which Moab Paper emerged. Once Moab
was its own entity, InkJetGoodies was sold off. When it became available on
the market again a year ago, Moab could have repurchased it, but chose not to.
InkJetArt picked it up instead.

I hope Greg Schern made a bundle in the recent
Inkjetgoodies/Moab/Inkjetart transactions!

Inkjetart.com has been a wonderful dealer, much more insightful about
paper etc than other companies, has provided perfect, fast service,
and I've loved Entrada and Kayenta for the past couple of years.

This from Utah Business, Feb 2004
http://www.utahbusiness.com/parser.php?nav=article&article_id=263

...Greg was described as one of "best and brightest under
40"...seriously inspirational!:

Greg Schern

Red Rock Innovations (divisions: Inkjetgoodies.com, Moab Paper Co.,
Grand River Editions), president/CEO

Age: 28

Red Rock Innovations was born out of Schern's frustration as a
photography student at not being able to find all the right inkjet
printing accoutrements in one place, at a fair price. In the two years
since founding his company, Schern has taken sales from 300,000 to 1
million — a 350 percent rate of growth. InkjetGoodies.com now stocks
and warehouses thousands of products for a multinational customer
base, and has become the largest exporter of merchandise from Moab.
