Epson 3800 and manual feed

I'm curious to know which paper weight and thickness is recommended for manual front load feed versus the main top load feed, (actually the 3800 also has a top load manual feed as well just to confuse me even more). Up to now, I've only used the main top load feeder using basic Epson papers EEM EPSG, etc.
