Jim Coffee's right IMO, though I've heard it may depend on the
particular PC's architecture. My several XPs have been far faster with
USB2 than with USB1 (peripherals generally, not just Epson printers).
Some report Firewire slower than USB2 on Wintel machines, but I've no
basis for comparison. I think Firewire advocacy's mostly an old MacHabit.
If the Epson driver is noticeably slower than QTR I'd guess you don't
have enough free memory...enough memory should neutralize differences.
I think I recall that you have 1 or 2 gig, which is plenty, but C
could easily be too cluttered. Do disc cleanup, empty recycle bin,
remove unnecessary applications from C, remove photo/music files from
C. Take two aspirin, call me in the morning.
