Digital BW, The Print

Hello,
I'm printing a lot of cards (just had an order for 50 today) ... and have wondered about getting an A4 printer for churning out BW photo greeting cards with MIS inks.

The nearest printers I can find in New Zealand to those supported by MIS are the C87+ and the R230, so it looks like I'm out of luck for the cheaper printers. 

Can anyone suggest anything else? 

Also, is the 2100 slower than the newer Epsons? I've never had to print in volume before and the slowness is a difficulty.

I had a 2200 (same as 2100) and now a 2400, and the 2400 is
considerably faster.  I can't speak for the other models.
