MIS cartridges question

MIS cartridges question

2007-05-11 by Richard Smallfield

Hi,
I've just opened my first boxes of MIS prefilled cartridges.

I wondered what the story is about the foil bits on the top - I take it you remove them?

Sorry to ask such a dumb question - I couldn't find anything in my quick search of the site. And no instructions with the carts.

thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard

Yes, you remove them - it covers a vent into the cartridge.

Hi Richard:

You will fill the cartridge with the relevant ink, then use the
bottom fill adaptor to prime it before installing. To prime, insert
syringe with
adaptor into bottom of cartridge (you should puncture that first,
just install it temporarily and pull out again) and pull ink out of
the bottom with the syringe. You will have taken the foil off at this
point. You can put the ink back in the top if you like. Then install,
and you're ready to go!

Move to quarantaine
