anyone want a 7600 cross posted

2007-07-13 by daschkenas

As I mentioned earlier this week, my 7600 has a banding problem. I'm not mechanically
inclined to attempt fixing it, and I'm not going to take a chance on a hefty repair service call,
so I'll be purchasing a 7800.
If any one out there is handy, or wants to take a chance on a 7600 with a banding problem (it
does give perfect nozzle checks, the white bands just show up in the shadows) I'll entertain
offers for the printer. I just replaced 4 of the 220 carts, so it has $400.00 worth of new ink
in it, a brand new maintainence tank, too. Also, I have a brand new in the box cutter blade
($90.00) to go with it.
I am not a commercial shop, the printer has less than 6500 prints through it. It was always
maintained under Epson extended warranty (4 years worth) the printer is 4.1/2 years old.
It has matte K ink in it, and comes with a stand.
I'm located in PGH Pennsylvania, so pick up only.
Call or email me directly if you have questions or are interested.
Thanks

David - I missed your earlier post, but did you check the Epson web
site for tech support on this. The FAQs for the 7600 specifically make
several suggestions for the banding problem, including simply changing
the speed setting.

I tried this to no avail.
Thanks
