QuadtoneRIP_Printer slows near end of image

2007-07-22 by dmdctusa

I am using an Epson 2200 on a PC with WinXP and 2gb of memory. When
printing an image the first 3/4 to 5/8 prints at normal 1440 speed but
about 3/4 through it slows and the carriage moves with long pauses.
Near the very end printing speed returns to normal. This has occurred
previously with no noticeable effect on the print.

However. tonight I noticed two very thin vertical lines in the area
where the printer slows down.

I would appreciate any comments or advice to remedy this problem.

Thanks,

David Dorn

David, this is a better site for QTR questions:
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/QuadtoneRIP/

Beyond that:

1) you may have a memory problem...do "disc cleanup."

2) if that doesn't fix things, uninstall/reinstall.

3) if your QTR release has bugs the Yahoo group has already provided
solutions (such as another release #). I'm running 2.4.1 on 1G XP,
2200, no complaints...don't know if this is the most recent.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
