Recommended Paper and Ink Combination

Recommended Paper and Ink Combination

2007-08-18 by stasunas

I'm sure there will be no disagreement on this, but I'd like to see
some discussion to help me decide on a new paper and ink combination.
I have been using MIS- UT7 inks on my 2200 and Epson UC, with inks,
matte black, in my 7600 on Condor Bright White paper using QTR, with
reasonable good results. But to my eye they just don't POP like images
on a luster or semi-gloss paper and as a result I want to move in that
direction. I have tried some Museo Silver Rag on the 2200 but with
Eboni I get Bronzing that I don't like.
So, some suggestions and discussion would be appreciated!!

Should you be using Eboni with a non-matte paper?
If you don't like MSR perhaps try Innova White Semi-matte- I like the
lack of sparkly texture and solid feel.

For matte I like Innova Smooth White Cotton 315 which has punchier
blacks than papers like Moab Entrada. I've mainly been using these
Innovas and Epson Premium Semi-gloss with MIS UTR2 inks.
