How far you want that paper tone to impact grays, as you move from white towards black, is a more subjective choice. Having tools that allow me to control these factors makes me think of them a bit less passively than "its not neutral but I like it" or, "its not graceful in how it blends to paper white", or other issues that used to be very difficult to do much about. First I want control of actual, measured, neutrality along the gray ramp, then I feel free to flavor that as I choose on a print by print or profile by profile basis. C.
