Mat printing on Glossy paper?!
2007-09-11 by Daniel Bourgade
Hi everyone, I need help. I'm using CISS with pigment ink then when I'm printing on microporous glossy paper the printing is coming Mat. So in B&W it is nice even if it is not the result expected, but in color it is huggly. (big metametism) I'm wondering if I have the right quantity of ink laydown on the paper. When printed the separation file form QTR, the density of the colors are at the maximum around 60/80% but all are different. Should I print with an adjustment of the ink density in the driver, and which one as the range is between 60 and 80%? Is someone knows a RIP that could do the adjustment of the density of each ink for color printing? I'm using PS CS2, QTR for B&W, Epson R2400, calibration Ezcolor (with scanner Epson 4490, very poor result with reddish cast) Thanks for your help Daniel Bourgade
