QTR and CS3 printer conflict?
2007-11-30 by E Neilsen
I have been setting up a new ink set and QTR is giving me some issues. It appears to be tied in with CS3 or Adobe products. I have a 4800, a 2200, an R200 and and a 740 all installed. I was working with the 2200 and CS3 getting targets printed just to clear out the cleaning fluid out of all the channels. After that I put the ink in and started prnting my calibration chart in QTR, still every thing is fine. I went back to CS3 and tried to print a color image to the 4800 and the darn 2200 dialog box opened when I called up the print set up in CS3. In that multi tasking mode it was time for another print with the 2200. I went back to QTR and tried to queue another image. It failed to spool. SO , I shut down QTR and the 2200. I was able to access the 4800 driver and make my print with CS3 I tried again to spool the job in QTR but it failed. So I shut down CS3, shut down QTR and rebooted. Went first to QTR and it worked fine. Moving forward to today, I am doing some of the same type work, color on 4800 and printing and adjusting in QTR. When now QTR fails to queue again. QTR?? CS3? Windows XP Home. Any and all insight welcome.
