Flat spots @ black areas

Flat spots @ black areas

2008-02-13 by TFielder

I am new to B & W printing. I have an Epson R220 set up with MIS R2N
Cart-set inks. The issue I have is that the black-black portions of
the prints is coming out flat-black almost as if a coating had been
scraped off the photo. I have tried printing with a couple of
different papers and I am still having the same problem. Any ideas
about what might be wrong?

Also, my primary interest is landscape photos. What paper do you
recommend using with the MIS inks?

Thanks,

TEF

Which black ink and paper are you using?

See http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/R220_R2_Readme.pdf for more
information on this inkset.
