Cave Paint Matt black and Eboni black

Cave Paint Matt black and Eboni black

2008-03-25 by frogeyesfred

I've bottles of both Cave Paint Matt black and Eboni Matt black. I'd
like to use both in my CIS if they're as interchangeable as they appear

Any advice on this question would be appreciated.

Thanks

Walt

My advice would be that unless you know for certain that they use the
same base, don't try it. Based on all the comments by Paul Roark over
the past years about ink differences, I think it's too risky to try. If
they interact badly and clog up the works you might permanently harm
the entire printer or the CIS, or both.

Clayton

Clayton

I'm sure you're right. Doggone I hate to be so cheap as to constatnly
look for ways to be "penny wise and opund foolish". :) Just bought a
large bottle of Eboni and think I'll just throw away the Cave Paint black.

Thanks,

Walt

Keep the Cave Paint Black for caligraphy or something. ;-)

I'll just throw away the Cave Paint black.
