Does anyone out there have a recommendation regarding networking 3
Macs(G3-G4DP-G4Cube)--two monitors...one user?
Here is what I need/want:

I want to be able to open any file on any drive and use both monitors. I
would also like to have internet access from any machine. - I have a DSL.

I thought I had it all figured out until I started looking at what I needed.
I want it to be fast and have the 10/100T ethernet ports. I know I need the
5Cat cable. But do I need a hub? Timbuktu?

Any advice appreciated. Off line is ok.

Many thanks in advance, sorry for the cross post.

Just tell me what "Scan a Roll" has to do with B&W printing.
There must be 100 replays to this thread.

I will take Paul's occasional OT any time over what is going
on with "Scan a Roll"

I tried to direct the original poster to the many scanner e-groups
available, guess it did not stick.

re-printing B&W prints

2009-10-13 by Sam McCandless

Are there e-groups which focus on scanning with B&W prints in mind?

I'd like to find a good one, especially a good one with a focus on
scanning BW prints with BW re-prints of them in mind.

RE: [Digital BW] OT or not.

Vinny, It has to do with getting content to print. This group can certainly
get into the file generation side a bit too right? no file no need for a
print set up ; )

I realize that getting dialed into a workflow might seem bothersome to
someone already in one and looking for answers to their specific questions,
but getting someone set up in the digital workflow to B&W prints starts some
where and in this case some one is looking for help at the capture side.

In your workshops, did the masters only talk about the print? or did it
include the negative or digital file too? geeez

Eric

Re: [Digital BW] re-printing B&W prints

Actually some of my best prints are scans of old 8x10 glossy. It's a pretty straight forward process.
