Golden Varnish

2002-02-06 by Elizabeth

I own an art gallery that also sells art supplies. My Golden sales rep was telling me about this product. I was wondering if anyone has tried it. I use golden paints (when I have time to paint in the traditional sense) and I highly recommend their entire line. This looks like alot of work but he claims it makes even dye somewhat lightfast.

Elizabeth,

Check out the Files section of the Group under coatings. Also search
the Archives and the Piezo list for coatings and you will find a
great deal of info about using not only the Golden but other
varnishes as well for use on inkjet prints.

The fade testing done on coated prints indicated that a coating, any
coating, increased fade and color shift resistance.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
