Epson 2200 BO MIS eboni black ink with premium luster?

Epson 2200 BO MIS eboni black ink with premium luster?

2008-06-02 by hsbridge

I apologize if this has been asked and answered elsewhere, but if it
has, I couldn't find it.

I followed Clayton Jones' guide to printing black only on my 2200
using the Epson photo black ink. I prefer to use Epson's premium
luster paper and the results were, as expected, a "warm" image.

I would like to try the MIS black ink to see if I can get a "cooler"
image. Clayton's guide describes using the Eboni black on matte paper
and my question is:

Can I use the MIS Eboni black on premium luster or should I order the
MIS Photo black (UT7-T0341-UPK)?

Thanks,
Helen

The Photo Black would be much better however I have used that paper with my
2200 and had some severe bronzing issues going on. I now use either Crane
Silver Rag or Ilford Gold Silk Fibre and bronzing is so minimal as to be
almost undetectable to me. And those paper's have a very similar "lustre"
finish. Not exactly the same but quite similar.
