Epson 3800 cartridges

Epson 3800 cartridges

2008-09-30 by M. Bishop Bastien

Hi all -

Am looking for refillable cartridges for a Epson 3800 for a
monochromatic set-up...so far, no luck. I searched the archives and
found a few old references and a few indications they were in the
works at one time but little else. Can anyone enlighten me on the
potential for these cartridges?

Thanks in advance - Bishop

Bishop,

I am using a CIS system from Inkjetmall.com with Piezography black and
white in my 3800. I have not seen any just refillable cartridges for the
3800 yet.

Hope this helps,

Gary W.

Greg --

Thanks for your note on the CIS system from Inkjetmall. I had seen
these but due to a few considerations that I have I am hoping to find
some cartridges. Seems though that I might need to either go with the
CIS system or look into using another printer....just hate to give up
the option to printing larger with the 3800.

Thanks again and best regards -- Bishop

Peter,

I had some initial setup problems with the CIS but found Inkjetmall very
helpful in resolving issues. I have now had the CIS system operating
continuously for several months and have not had any problems. This is my
first experience using Piezography inks and QTR and have been pleased with
the results. If you have other specific questions let me know.

Best Wishes

Gary

Hello Bishop,

this small company in Holland :
refillink.biz
sells cartridges, CIS and resettable chips for the 3800.
It is not a perfect solution as the resettable chip needs to stay on
the cartridge along with the OEM chip.
The person in charge, Robert Grafton, is extremely kind and helpful.
He has pictures of the individual chips and of the empty cartridges.
That's the most you can get at present for the 3800 unless you want to
go with a CIS (we don't).

Ciao,

  Daniela

Bishop
If you want refillable cartridges for the 3800
send a email to this company C&C based in Europe.

No, only what I have read via internet searches. I have been in
contact with them over the last couple of months and, as I
understand it, the problem is in having a reliable chip resetter.
They say, but they would wouldn't they, that the system works well
and they have the ability to reset the chips in house but it is not
yet ready for the market. Incidentally, I am in the UK and, if you
can talk to them and summarize current status for me, please do via

Robert,

I have been in communication with another participant of this list
and understand that you sell Imagespecialist inks so, after the
first cartridge full is nearly done I propose to buy from you. But
as the website to which you refer has not changed for some while, I
assumed that that company was experiencing the same problem. I
suspect that the carts and chips are available but not the resetter.

Am I wrong?

Yes there has been some problems with the resetter but now all is
sorted.
Yes we do have Image Specialist ink in stock. As we are there
European distributors.
As for the Web, our web designer has disappered of the face of the
earth (must have gone to outer space).
Have found some one new and there just getting there head round it
all.As there is alot more info to be put on the web
