Inkjet print at MOMA

Inkjet print at MOMA

2008-11-04 by Evan Wolarsky

Today at MOMA, I noticed a nice color print, and in the caption it said
simply "inkjet print".

Does this mean that prints made on an inkjet printer can finally be
called "inkjet prints"?

Evan

That is what they have been called for several years now.

Hi Evan and James:

I've settled on "pigment inkjet print" for my prints. I think it says
pretty clearly what they are.

I mentioned this in a post about a month ago, but when I was making
my rounds for the folowing report at the AIPAD show in NYC:
http://tinyurl.com/6ausbb

I don't think I saw the word Giclee anywhere, but I did see:

Color Inkjet Print, Pigment Print, Archival Pigment Print, and Epson
UltraChrome Print.

Just some observations from a very high profile photo art show.

All the best,

Andrew

At my current exhibit in Brooklyn, I simply used the term "Archival
Inkjet Print." Trying to come up with different "angles" just gave me a
headache. ;-)
