PHOTOGRAPHY-NOW.NET - The Fine Art Photography Directory

PHOTOGRAPHY-NOW.NET - The Fine Art Photography Directory

2008-12-24 by robertjonesphotography

I found a great web site - www.photography-now.net they run a new
website for photographers. A directory dedicated to fine art
photography, master photographers, contemporary artists and fine art
galleries.
Many fantastic portfolios by "Big Names" like Ansel Adams, Edward
Weston and well known contemporary photographers.
I intend to have my portfolio presented on this website.
I got curious and wrote a couple of emails to photographers that
already have a portfolio on this new platform to find out if they were
happy with their portfolio or not.
All of them responded absolutely positively to me.
Anybody of you also has his portfolio online there?

I don't have yet online, but the photos I sent to Ms Barbara Kennedy,
the publisher, said they will be accepted. So after the holidays, I'll
be putting up one on their website.

best
and happy holidays

It certainly would be nice to be among such luminaries; however, I
suspect since THEY (whoever "they" are) make the determination as to
whether or not we all classify as fine art photographers, there is a
large number of us who will NOT be included. that being said, however,
it's a gorgeous site and worth the submission of samples.

happy holidays, everyone.

I agree, the site is put together quite well. I only have two gripes: 1)
when viewing a portfolio, the site resizes my browser to fit the screen.
This is hubris, and ruins the experience for me, as I have to resize
everything once I'm done viewing, and 2) even though the site resizes my
screen (see #1), the size of the portfolio photos are woefully small to
show off art. None of these artists ever wanted their work to be shown
at 3"x3".
