Digital BW, The Print

I just joined this group. I'm an amateur photographer who used to do a
lot of black and white 20-30 years ago. I been thinking about getting
 into digital black and white photography and have been researching
various ways to do it at a modest initial costs. The things I have
been reading here seem to fit my needs very well. My question is could
I use any epson printer that uses the same cartriges as the C88
printer for conversion to black and white with the MIS inks. I have an
epson CX3810 that came free with a computer and is not being used and
it uses the same ink cartriges as the C88. Would it work with the MIS
ink system?
