I am also about to embark on cyanotypes with digital negatives...at least when the weather gets slightly warmer. Photographers have been doing this for many years, that is true. I even attempted salt prints a few years back but wasn't successful because of paper-coating errors. Good luck, Richard and if you want to keep in touch as we both take on this project, feel free!

[Digital BW] Re: Calotype/Cyanotype from digital negatives

2009-03-16 by Richard Smallfield

Hi AnneMarie,
summer is ending here and time is short, so this project will have to wait for another summer ... but I'm keen to do it one day.

What paper are you going to use? It has to withstand a lot of washing by the sound of it. I live in the country and am on tank water so I'm not sure whether I have enough water to spare :-\

Good luck,
Richard
