Rotate BO ink through all the carts in a 1400?

Rotate BO ink through all the carts in a 1400?

2009-08-31 by Andrew Sharpe

Hi folks,

I currently use a 1400 with one K ink (the other positions have cleaning
fluid). I'm currently using the K position for this, but since I do
*all* my printing this way, and never use the other printing heads at
all, I was wondering about the lifetime of the one piezo head I am
using. Would it be better for me to make 6 different QTR profiles, one
for each head, and rotate through them instead of always using the same
head? Or am I needlessly worrying about this?

Thanks,
Andrew

Or just use the slot until it's not working well, then change to the next one. You could also just change the position of the black cart occassionally, interchanging the chips. I would probably not put black ink in all the slots. The cleaning fluid in most probably helps keep the pad, pump and lines clean.
