Portland CMUG tonight

2009-09-24 by tboleyyh

I'll be giving a presentation tonight in Portland-
http://www.custom-digital.com/2009/08/portland-cmug-talk-sept-24th/

Though not limited to B&W alone, it will be included and I'll have many prints with me to show. Some using unusual procedures.
Short notice, but been slammed...

Nope, generally up to others. Budgets for such things are in the toilet unless you are one of the digital dogs...

And usually the bark is worse than the bite (byte?)

Anyway, Tyler, it was great to meet you recently. I can't serve up the plane ticket, but plenty of room here at the Historic Hyde House in Lee, MA for you to stay when you next wonder East.

kind regards,

Mark

we certainly discussed longevity and your efforts Mark. We'll have the same talk up in Seattle in a few weeks-

I'll put up a better announcement in a few days.
I was concerned about the talk, but everyone seemed to enjoy it.

OK, so now that the blank stares from the Portland evening taught me how to step this up a bit, we'll try it in my home town. No I won't do it in drag, sorry.
I'll bring even more prints, seems to be the main interest.
This Wednesday evening at Adobe, details here-

I honestly wouldn't know how. I think I'm slipping into luddite status.
I listened to some podcasts from a few of the luminaries of our community recently, frankly it was embarrassing, they all sound like the shamwow guy. I can only take so much of this self promotion effort before I feel like I have to take a shower.
May have reached that point today...

Some day we all need to have a clan gathering...

After that critique I'm tempted to leave well enough alone. But,
there's a long one that might be of interest on a program called
LightSource; a search on that and my name should bring it up. I'd say
that I'm more guilty of being over the top on products, than on self
promotion, but everyone here is used to that... ;-)
