Digital BW, The Print

Hello everyone .. 

I have a HP B9180 that i bought 2 or 3 years ago .. very nice printer, very happy with the prints.

The printer recently stopped printing and now just spits out 2 1/2 pages (blank) through when a print job starts and then says "Out of Paper" ..

Researching through the net, i found that this is a common failure with the "Paper Sensor" that is buried inside the machine. -- So i guess I have 2 questions for other b9180 owners ..

1 - Is there any known fix? -- i couldn't find one online which leads me to believe short of taking this thing apart and seeing how that little switch broke, this thing is done.

2 - Does anyone want a b9180? .. (in san francisco) .. it doesn't print due to the fact that the printer doesn't think it has paper -- but perhaps you can gut it for other parts? -- (print heads, etc) ..
