Epson R280 + Eboni + problems

Epson R280 + Eboni + problems

2009-11-07 by s_pease

Hello

I bought some re-fillable carts of eBay and filled one with Eboni and the remainder with clear fluid from MIS. I have been unsuccessful in creating prints with dynamic range -- the prints are super contrasty -- 5% step wedge has visible gradients between 90% - 55%, otherwise there is minuscule visible difference in progressive steps. I have downloaded QTR and tinkered to no avail. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

You will not be able to get a good print with the Epson driver. You need to use QTR and the black only profiles. QTR does support these printers. The profiles for the R260 should work with the 280.

I will try again, with the QTR and BO profile. Thx.
