New Printer? again

New Printer? again

2009-12-19 by JohnB

Thanks to all who responded to my ? about Epson 2880. I have one more about the same printer.

What about using DYE inks in the printer. Same uses, half and half B&W, color. And half and half Satin (semi-gloss) and matte. There are a lot of cheap dye inks available. I know, you get what you pay for, cheap is cheap.

I am not really interested in the prints lasting for a hundred years. If they will not fade much in the next year or two that is fine. I don't have that much time left.

Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

Well that was a quick sale. When I looked yesterday it was listed at 299 with a double instant rebate ($100 + $80).

See Paul Roark's website for 1400 workflows and ink assignments.

So you are using the 1400 as a Black and White printer only?
Thanks
