It has become an integral part of my workflow. Usually I produce two variations of an image. One HDR and one blended from at least three sets of exposures in Photoshop. I take these two resulting images and blend them together in Photoshop to produce my final images. Nothing automatic about it. They still have to be blended together with masks and hand painting. Like all of the tools we have at our disposal it can be used for good or for evil. I am of the group that does not care for HDR for HDR's sake. But for the person who understands the intent of what they want to create it offers options in tonal control. To C.D. Tobie's point, I am an old school large format guy and I like the "deliberate" images. I shoot everything as stitched mosaics with HDR as a component. I find that shooting this way is the closest to the large format film experience I have come since I made the switch to digital. Just like with the view camera you have to slow down and think about the image you are trying to make. Scott www.scotthendershot.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
