Yes.

Run the OEM inks to make sure the printer is functioning properly. Including
head alignment. If there are any problems with the printer, it will be much
easier for you to return it if does not have the CFS installed. You may need
a purge cartridge depending upon the ink you are going to run in the CFS.
MIS and Piezo don't need a purge because the solvents are compatible. With
other inks there can be problems. Check with the ink manufacturer.
