Ebony K3 Tests

Ebony K3 Tests

Paul,

I see you put some more Ebony tests up on the Aardenburg list to evaluate.

I guess I'm not understanding why you are still submitting K3 tests and not at least 4 or 6 channels that might test differently in a direct comparison to Piezograpy K7 or the Piezo Quads. Don't you have a more subtle hextone set available for test?

I've submitted the K6 carbon sepia and NK6 on a paper other than Photorag now.

Personally I would like to know if lighter dilutions of all of these sets, that produce the delicate excellent smooth highlight tonality are more subject to earlier fade and or hue shift than tritones or quads.

I'm not. Someone else submitted some, apparently. I agree the Eboni-6 dilute inkset should be tested. I hope Mark will have room in some future session for such a test.

I don't understand why one would test a three shade set against quads and K7 sets? It seems like if we were going to use K3 we would go the easy route and just use OEM monochrome..in the same printer we use for color. The thing I need in the HP is at least one more extra light gray.
